Vancouver singer - flutist Holly Burke has a unique style. She studied in NY with David Gross; with Judy Mendenhall in San Diego and with Paul Horn. She has a Bachelor's degree in Music and Theatre, a teaching credential from Cambridge University and over twenty years of teaching experience. Holly enjoys teaching students of all ages.
Holly’s credits include the San Diego International Jazz Festival, The Du Maurier Jazz Festival, CBC TV and NPR radio. Locally she’s worked with Linton Garner, Terry Jacks and Gabriel Hasselback. Holly has recorded on over twenty five projects and played with such bands as the multi - Grammy award winning Editus and Grammy nominee, flutist Lori Bell. Holly has an International Broadcast Award from the Hollywood Radio and Television Society as well as many VO and TV credits including Special Unit 2, Cold Squad V1, The Dead Zone, and It’s a Girl Thing, with Mia Farrow. Following her VO for the National Film Board’s ‘Kosovo – a Fragile Peace’, she will do the VO for a new environmental film project to be hosted by Leonardo Di Caprio. Daughter of veteran CBC newscaster Stanley Burke, Holly has recently worked with him on his new book,”Global Pax.”
